Overall, 65% of women will become pregnant within 18 months after an ectopic.

If one of the tubes was removed, a woman will continue to ovulate as before, but her chances of conceiving will be reduced to about 50%.

The overall chances of a repeat ectopic are between 7–10%. If the tubes are both damaged IVF may be required.
