At our virtual AGM this year, our new chair, Lucy Dixon, spoke about wanting to keep growing our PCD community so that more people with the condition can feel connected even despite the additional barriers that Covid-19 has posed. We were therefore thrilled when Dan Hawkins approached us about an idea called PCD-Connect, which is a closed and informal Facebook group for individuals with PCD or parents of younger children with PCD to meet one another.

This initiative has been set up independently of the PCD Family Support Group and we are not responsible for its content. Please therefore make sure you read the community guidelines on the page carefully. As with any community forum, there is the risk of incorrect or unreliable information being circulated and you should check with your doctor if you need to validate or query anything you are unsure of. We hope that in these testing times, connecting others with PCD will help those with the condition know they are not alone and that PCD-Connect will provide a safe space for people to share their stories.

Dan’s introduction to PCD Connect:

Keeping ahead of COVID-19

Covid-19 is very unsettling for all of our PCD community – we will be regularly updating this page with latest information and ideas on how to keep yourselves entertained whilst self-isolating.
